  • Visit marriage registration portal of your state/area (let us know if you need help here)
  • Look out for “Check Status” option there
  • Enter your marriage registration ID in the box provide
  • You can search as per bride/groom name as well (limited to few states)
  • Hit the Check Status button
Your records will be matched with the ones available in central database and associated status will then be printed on your computer/smartphone screen.

In areas where online status check is yet to be implemented, you can follow the traditional way always. Get in touch with some official resource working at marriage registration center local to your area (where you have applied for the registration) and check with him/her regarding latest status. This is the only way to get live updates for your marriage application.

When Marriage Certificate Online Status check will be implemented in India completely?
Although no one is sure about it but by seeing the recent digital developments, we can expect marriage registration process to take a digital turn in coming few years (may be by 2020). Once the implementation is done, we will be seeing dedicated marriage registration portals for each state where users can apply for online registration, can check their status, make changes, download the marriage certificate etc.

Finding Any Issues/Glitches?
We know right now it is not the ideal time to check marriage certificate status across any part of the country. We often have to revert back to old traditional ways for checking delivery dates and other related stats. We hope Government will soon develop dedicated marriage registration portals as they did in case of ration card, passport, PAN card etc
